Not that anyone has noticed, but for what it’s worth, our official code cleanup to validate against XHTML 1.0 Strict started on January 1, and the bulk of the site is now validating to Strict vs. the previous 1.0 Transitional. I updated the headers today, so the link in the lower right sidebar for the W3C validation service will now automatically validate against XHTML 1.0 Strict.
Certain parts of the site – most notably the image galleries – remain non-compliant for now. (That damn WPG2 install is a mess that doesn’t even validate against Transitional at the moment.) As I have time to rewrite and clean up pages, though, that should be gradually changing. It’s all under the hood of course, so you shouldn’t notice many cosmetic changes, but I thought I’d let you know so that you can Surf With Confidence™.
