the bard reflects on grooming
August 5th, 2006 by herichon
To shave, or not to shave: that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The stings and abrasions of unsharpened razors,
Or to take shade amid a sea of stubbles,
And by inaction keep them? To shave: to scrape
No more; and by not shaving, say, we end
The chin-ache and the thousand natural cuts
That skin is heir to, ‘tis a consummation
Devoutly to be ditched. To shave, to scrape;
To raze: perchance to nick: ay, there’s the rub;
For in that loss of face what burns may come
When we have shuffled off to work at last,
Must give us pause…
