fiddling with stuff

I know, things aren’t quite right at the moment, I am fiddling with the theme. Bad formatting and bad links abound. Bear with me for a bit. Let me know if you have any suggestions, incidentally.
UPDATE 6 August – Most of the dust seems to have settled by now. See this post for a full accounting of what changed. All formatting and link issues to my knowledge have been resolved, but if you spot anything wonky, you know what to do.
