a minor update

So, yeah, it’s been a laugh a minute here on amphichon since I moved out to Portland, eh?
Actually it’s not been all that bad. Parts of it have been pretty good. It’s just that I’ve been in sort of a funk lately, probably a lot of it having to do with work and money worries, and the sense of time rushing by. But worse things happen at sea, as they say.
Anyway, just a nod to say hello to those who’ve been stopping by lately. I’m still around here and there. Slowly moving back toward writing again, but I won’t make any promises in that regard, since some cough… alex… cough seem… well, almost bitter, you could say… about my lackluster delivery in that regard. Will try to make more of an effort to clean things up and update more frequently here as well. Parts of the site are still sort of under construction (and have been since September, I’m embarrassed to say) but, well, you know. I’ll see what I can do.
I’ve noticed a few visitors lately checking out my Netflix Wordpress plugin – yes hi! Glad you stopped by. It’s a little embarrassing, but I’ve since cancelled my Netflix subscription, so the plugin demonstration page isn’t all that impressive anymore. But the plugin does indeed work, if you poke at it enough. It seems that a couple of folks are talking about adding some more functionality (configuration through an Options panel instead of through editing the code, etc) – sounds great to me. I’d do it myself if I still used it but I’d be pleased to host anyone else’s additions, or feel free to adopt it from me and have at it, that’s the beauty of open source, right? Free as in beer and as in love.
So consider this a lick and a promise to try to keep in touch better with those of you who drop by here from time to time. As a token olive branch, I’ve gone through and added titles and captions for quite a few more of the pictures in the Random Images section (click the gallery link above to get to it). About the first ten pages have captions now, and hopefully the rest will soon. I’ve also got several more images to put up, including a new gallery of Portland images and a few pics from our road trip to Astoria, Oregon (home of The Goonies).
In the meantime, hope everyone’s doing well. Enjoy that leftover turkey. Cheers.
You know, I wouldn’t be nearly so bitter if the stories you started sucked. But they were GOOD and you just left ‘em for dead! GRRRRR!!!!! (Think evil monkey in closet with teeth bared and fist shaking here…
)
